Remember the TV series Life on Mars from a few years back? Ever wonder what its co-creator has been up to since? Well, wonder no more. The Hollywood Reporter says that Matthew Graham, who co-created Life on Mars for the BBC back in 2006, has developed a new project called Para Time that has been picked up by 20th Century Fox. The studio has said little about the plot, but it's said to involve some sort of organization that "polices parallel worlds."
Graham and co-creators Tony Jordan and Ashley Pharaoh launched Life on Mars in January 2006 on the BBC, where the series ran until 2007. It revolved around a modern-day cop who was whisked back in time to 1973. An American version, which I prefer, starring Jason O'Mara as the detective and featuring names like Harvey Keitel, Michael Imperioli and Gretchen Mol, premiered in October 2008 but lasted only one season but contains more episodes than the British version, not by a lot!
