Possible Spoilers: Paragraph below may contain spoilers. Please don't read if you don't want to get spoiled!

Over the course of just five seasons the cast changed a lot while in the first five seasons of SG-1 everything stayed the same. After season 1 Rainbow Sun Francks' character Lt. Ford was replaced by Jason Momoa's Ronon Dex. Torri Higginson's character Elizabeth Weir was replaced first by Amanda Tapping's character Samantha Carter, whom was replaced after one season by Woolsey, Rober Picardo. Of course at the end of season 3, Dr. Carson Beckett died, still don't understand that decision, I think he was a fan favorite of almost everyone. He is replaced by Jewel Staite's character Dr. Jennifer Keller, who did a very good job I have to add, but she was no Carson.

Who would have thought when Stargate SG-1 started, we would get 2 follow-up series. In 2004 Stargate Atlantis started, I have to say, although I liked it instantly but for me it could never match with SG-1. However this is changed for me, Stargate Atlantis (SGA) becomes stronger with multiple viewings and with conviction I can say now that Atlantis is my favorite Stargate series!

We knew it was shot in HD, all seasons while SG-1 started in HD with season 6. So it was a matter of time before Atlantis got a Blu-Ray release. After a try-out with the pilot a few years back, it remained quiet for quite some time but then finally it was released in July 2011. Stargate Atlantis looks amazing on Blu-Ray, it looks fantastic, even the upscaled SFX scenes looks more than okay. Stargate Atlantis never looked better, it's a real treat, treat yourself! Atlantis is loaded with special features, you'll be busy for hours! Now we wait for the other spectacular Blu-Ray release; Stargate SG-1! We keep hoping!
