Syfy decided last year that season five would be Warehouse 13's last season. It would not be a full season, just six episodes. Of course it's disappointing to a lot of fans still I can respect their decision, they give the creators the chance give a series a satisfying ending. How many times can you say this actually happens with a sci-fi series. So yes, pity, on the other hand, 4.5 seasons is not a bad run.
Today it was announced the DVD for the fifth season will be released in May, right after the series finale has been aired on Syfy. Also a complete series will be released on the same day. The complete series will only be a collection of all seasons, no more extra's, although it does include the missing christmas episode which is also on the seperate season five release.

I’m thrilled that we can build the climax of our Warehouse tale to a satisfying conclusion.”Season 4 of Warehouse 13 is currently airing Mondays at 10PM (ET/PT) following the new hit series Defiance, which airs at 9PM.

Well I suppose a lot of people will be disappointed but I see it as an icing on the cake! I expected it to be cancelled after it's fourth season, Syfy is decent enough to give Warehouse 13 a chance to end the show the way it is suppose to. The fifth and final season will only have 6 episodes but with those 6 episodes the creators are able to finish the story in a satisfying way.

At the end of last month Universal announced the July 9th release of Warehouse 13 - Season 4 on DVD. At the time
we had a thumbnail-sized look at the cover art for this title, but now the studio has delivered a high-res image of the packaging.

Also with it's third episode Defiance held it's own fairly well! Still down from the second and the first episode but still impressive. It had a 0.8 Adult 18-49 Rating (Live + SD) share on the 9 pm broadcast with a total of 2.29 million viewers where it was last week 2.40 million. This nothing new, ratings always drop after the pilot, of course the erosion has to stop at some point, if Defiance can keep up this level, I think a season 2 is a distinct possibility.
Unfortunately Warehouse 13 did not so good with it's return, it had a 0.5 Adult 18-49 Rating (Live + SD) share on the 10 pm broadcast with a total of 1.07 million viewers. What has to be said here is that the episode was released online by Syfy two weeks ago already so a lot of fans probably already seen it, so this could be a reason why the rating were a bit disappointing.

Warehouse 13 exec Jack Kenny has confirmed that the show's future is still up in the air.
Kenny told Collider that the future of the drama depends on audience figures and the performance of fellow Syfy series Defiance.
"We're waiting for our season five pick-up," said the producer. "The writers have already started thinking of great new stories for season five."
While Warehouse 13's current fourth season spans 20 episodes, Kenny revealed that he is expecting a standard 13-episode order for any potential fifth run. "We're looking at hopefully another 13," he confirmed. "A lot of it will depend on the viewership numbers this season, how Defiance does, how do we do, how the other shows do, and what [the network has] in development.
"But I'm hoping that we can be around [next year]. This show could last forever because there's an endless number of artefacts and stories to tell." Buffy star Anthony Head was recently cast in the final episodes of Warehouse 13's fourth season as a new villain.

King Uther returns! This was rumored months ago when it was believed Merlin‘s Anthony Stewart Head was on the set of Warehouse 13, and fueled by a picture from star Eddie McClintock having dinner with him, fellow star Saul Rubinek, and Head’s fellow Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum James Marsters, but it’s been confirmed – Head will appear in the final three episodes of Season “4.5″, reportedly as a villain named Paracelsus.

Polly Walker (Caprica, John Carter) will guest star on Syfy’s hit series Warehouse 13 as Charlotte Dupres, a nemesis of the Warehouse Team who compounds mystery with intrigue and whose innumerable layers and secrets will unfold over the course of Season 4.5. Walker’s story arc will encompass five episodes. Warehouse 13 returns in April 2013 with 10 all-new episodes.

Perhaps you are aware of it, perhaps you're not but Warehouse 13's fourth season is not a 13-episode season as we are used to from the previous seasons but for the first time a Warehouse 13 season will contain 20 episodes! Don't get your hopes up too soon, well with the title you probably already guessed, because after the 10th episode, which will air Monday October 1st, 2012, Warehouse 13 won't return until somewhere in April 2013 to conclude the fourth season! Syfy did this also with Eureka in the past. So no X-mas episode either. I must say, I'd rather have a 13 episode season but Syfy apparently thinks different about that!

Syfy’s Warehouse 13 returned to an audience of 2.1 million, with about a mil landing in the 18-49 sweet spot — marking gains of 31 and 23 percent versus the previous season’s finale. Likewise, Alphas (1.7 million total viewers, 725 in the 18-49 demo) surged 50 and 24 percent from its freshman closer.

I may not be at San Diego Comic-Con (did I mention that?), but I know many of the press who are: Michael Hinman at Airlock Alpha has a nice article about Jaime Murray, who played H.G. Wells on Warehouse 13 and will star in the highly-anticipated Syfy series Defiance, and the fact that if Syfy still wanted to move forward with a possible Warehouse 13 spinoff based on her character, she believes it would still be possible to work both series.

Warehouse 13 - Season 3 : It's scheduled to be released on July 10, 2012. Without a doubt Warehouse 13's best season. In Europe and other parts of the world we probably will have to wait a little longer for this release, probably in September or so. Season 3 only has really good episodes and with that also an impressive gueststars list : Jeri Ryan ["Body of Proof," "Boston Public"], Anthony Michael Hall [The Dark Knight, "Stephen King's Dead Zone"], Lindsay Wagner ["The Bionic Woman"], Neil Grayston ["Eureka"] and Kate Mulgrew ["Star Trek: Voyager"]. This season 3 release contains all 13 episodes, including the X-mas episode. The season 2 X-mas episode wasn't on the season 2 release last year. Please be aware, this is a region 1 release! It does have English subtitles, SDH. In the special features department, there is lots to see also. Unfortunately, just like the for the first 2 seasons, no Blu-Ray release has been announced.

Season 2 of Warehouse 13, already released in the US, next month it will be released in the UK. According to Amazon.com the US release has English and French subs. Regarding the UK release, most likely, since it's a Playback release, no subs, just like the first season. Shame on U Playback! Furthermore, it seems on the UK & US release the X-mas episode is missing, Dutch release does have the X-mas episode and also a correct order of the episodes. Dutch release has also English soundtrack and English Subtitles.
Third season is only just begun and it's already announced it has been renewed for a fourth season in 2012. Warehouse 13 has ben popular from the beginning, high ratings so it's no surprise really it has been renewed.
